What's Goin On?!

So today, I just got a stable internet connection in my apartment.  I don't mean the "I may or may not have internet depending on t\which way I stand holding my iBook back in 05" connection, but the OMG I'm paying for it, so the signal is permanent connection.  So I will take this time to say, hello to all who have been waiting to hear from me forever and ever.

UPDATE:  I work for a place called Lonestar Debt Solutions, helping people get out of thousands of dollars worth of credit car/medical/unsecured personal loan debt.  I feel pretty good about my job, I'm doing well and recieved 2 promotions wihin my 4 months of being employed there so far (yay!)  I enjoy helping people.  AND it's great to have saturday and sunday off!

Brittnye and I are doing well and it's great.  I'm loving being past the 1st year mark.  NOT THAT there weren't good times in the first year, it was just a hard adjustment.  Now things are going great.  Sure we bunp heads from time to time.  We've even had a few big disagreements after year one, but even the big one's aren't as big and scary as the previous one's were.  I think it's because I realize that even though we may have a big difference in opinions, it isn't a dealbreaker.  BUT ALL THAT TO SAY thing's are awesome right now.

I also have in my wallet right now, a whole bunch of different premesi premesises, premeses (?) for storys I'd like to write and hopefully someday publish into books.

I'm looking forward to my next update, and will answer any question (like "why did it take you so long to update?"  or "between now and back then what all have you been doing?"

Talk to y'all soon.

Hello all ...

Um ... what's been new since sep?   AH!  First up:

1.0. I still live after surviving a horrible car crash involving myself, a Mack, a Peterbuilt, an International, and a penguin!  I kidd you not!  Every brand of semi hit me simultaneously ... but I lived!  The penguin didn't *tear*  Britt brought me back to the land of the living though and stuck through with me thru the rehab.

1.1.  I'm currently attending TCC to get rid of those pesky little core requirement classes, so that when I return to UTA (in either summer or fall) I can concentrate, pretty much solely on my architecture.

2.  I'm free of the Home Depot (and boycott it with all of my being).  Evil store with unfortunate people in it (sorry guys and gals) and evil people running it (few exceptions).  Now I work for Lonestar Debt Solutions for a couple of ex-Chicago Bears.  James Mannes and Lemule Stensin.  Jame's wife is also one of our founders.  I help people get of our tremendous amounts of unsecured debt, and clean up their credit scores afterwards.  I feel pretty good about this place, but I am still looking for a place where the paycheck is a bit larger with the same Mon-Fri hours at a salarie of 20k+ a yr.  However, I still feel good about things.

3.  Married life is cool again.  At times we still hit bumpy patches, but overall we're happy.  The "honeymoon period" is over ... but you know what!  The 1st year had some great times ... but there were also some good fights in there too.  NOW everything feels really good.  Fights still occur, but it feels like they're smaller and less scary.  It feels like the real honeymoon period started again.

4.  We now live in Hurst in a pretty good apartment.  Something about this new place just feels like home.

5.  You do know that 1.0. didn't really happen right, it was more or less me just not getting onto the internet as much as I used to.  I only used it for email and monster.com for a bit.

I STILL LIVE (and need to think of anotherway to start these blogs)

Life - Sometimes big, loud, fast, and hard ... j/k life's going pretty good.  Me and the Misses are about to move to Euless in the midcities area, so we'll be a bit closer to the fam and work, and not too far away from school.  The apartment floor plans look real nice and we'll be getting a lot more space for not too much more than what we're paying now.

Work - Work is work, I recently got promoted to "appliance specialist" (woo?) ... it's alot more fun than the old position, and it's alot less stressful (b/c at the Service Desk, there was Brandi and Jennifer = two battling prefectionists who are never wrong, a new Supervisor Tara, and a newly pregnant yet very hormonal Erica.  Too much estrogen)

Marriage - Britt and I are doing good, I like getting to see her at work ... it helps to actually see each other for more than a couple of hours a day (until she shows my butt off to co-workers *grr* yeah ... an "accident").

School - this semester I'm taking off for financial purposes, but next semester I plan on finishing my basics at TCCC and the semester after getting back on track to finish architecture at UTA.  I may prolong the masters program for a while and just work as a draftsman for Ron at RTKL and/or dad at AOTS.  My goal is to be permanently established at AOTS eventually w/my own clients ......... but I'm working on that and praying hard for God's strength and guidance and energy.

That's me ... next time I ought to update well before years and years ...

Red River New Mexico isnow on the list of one of the best places to be for R and R ...

we spent the 22 - 30 of July there, and those tents were so comfortable, I almost felt at home.  Up in the mountains, we went fishing for trout, took a Jeep Wrangler and tore up the trails out there, looked around Red River a bit, and on the way back, enjoyed a stay over at Palo Duro Canyon for food and a show.

Coming back home was one of the toughest parts of the trip. I mean, although it's good to be home, there wasn't anything out there to bother you.  No work orders or cell-phones ... nothing.

Man Camping is fun, but the Rest and Relaxation was so amazing ...
